Babur & Associates was founded by Principal Architect Mr. Saeed Ullah Babur, a distinguished UET Lahore graduate and recipient of the Mehdi Ali Mirza Award. With 28 years of experience, he is a member of MPCATP and MIAP, and holds a diploma from the Smithsonian Institute, USA. His contributions include research on historic architecture and co-authoring Pivot of the Punjab. He has also served as a Caretaker Provincial Minister in the Punjab Cabinet, overseeing departments like Housing, Environment, and Public Health Engineering.

The 1990s marked the beginning of a passionate journey for Architect Saeed Ullah Babur. After graduating from UET Lahore in 1992, Babur immersed himself in the architectural world, learning from legendary mentors like Habib Fida Ali and Shaukat Nawaz Raja. His involvement in landmark projects such as LUMS University, Eden Tower, and Shifa International Hospital showcased his early brilliance. Despite professional challenges, his unwavering dedication, strong academic foundation, and family support—especially from his wife Saima Babur—laid the groundwork for what would soon become Baber & Associates.
Professional Flourish & Independent Identity
This era marked Babur’s rise as an independent architect and the formation of Baber & Associates. Transitioning from mentorship to leadership, he embarked on commercial and industrial projects across Pakistan. His work with clients like DOCE Bakers, Bank Al-Habib, Faisal Bank, and Siemens Mobile reflected his growing reputation. He designed corporate offices, textile units, retail spaces, and pharmaceutical setups. By the end of this decade, Babur was recognized not just as an architect, but as a problem-solver, blending design with strategy.
Shaping Skylines & Serving the Nation
During this period, Babur took on transformative commercial ventures—particularly in Lahore’s thriving Gulberg district. Projects like Gulberg Galleria, Tenth Avenue Mall, Sorrento Square, and Libas-e-Khas defined his aesthetic: a blend of neoclassical charm and modern functionality. His design philosophy became clearer—community-first, culturally rooted, and sustainability-driven.
Beyond architecture, Babur served the country as a minister in four departments: Housing, Public Health Engineering, Environment, and Cooperatives. His leadership brought forward urban water harvesting systems, public health improvements, and environmentally progressive policies.

Architect Babur received the Outstanding Alumni Award from UET Lahore, a heartfelt recognition from the institution where it all began.
